The Boombox recently had a nice chat with Anita Baker about her Oct. 23rd release, Only Forever, her eighth studio album – the first album in seven years. The seasoned soul-singer describes the concept of the album as her “walking into a digital universe with an analog heart… kind of marrying the two.” The first single that’s got fans excited is her remake of Tyrese’s 1999 hit “Lately.” She said the model turned crooner/blockbuster star, whom is one of her “handful of friends,” was more than thrilled after hearing her take on the track, and even added a few suggestions.
